Title I – Improving Academic Achievement

The purpose of Title I - Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) is to "provide all children significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education, and to close education achievement gaps" 

The Flowing Wells Unified School District, in collaboration with parents, share in the responsibility of improving students’ academic achievement and school performance. Toward this end, meaningful communication between the district and parents is important. To facilitate regular communication, a parental representative from each school will attend a monthly Parent Advisory Council meeting with the superintendent. Annually, the Parent Advisory Council will review the district Title I plan and evaluate parental involvement and student success indicators. All interested parents are welcome to attend.
